There were no meetings in August. However, the summer meal was very well attended this year and was held at The Pendle Inn, Barley. We regaled each other with stories from our pre retirement days for our September afternoon meeting.

Just to reiterate from last month. We are turning our thoughts to setting the programme of events for 2020. So, if you have any recommendations for speakers please let us know.

Our Christmas lunch and entertainment, though a couple of months away, is booked for Tuesday, December 10th at noon. Once again we are returning to Turf Moor, where I think we have become something of an institution! Once I know how much per head the meal will be I will let you know.
